Kind thoughts & prayers to all of you. [email message] Heartfelt sympathy to you in the loss of Vickie! What a cool person & talent!! I first met Kim when we were both DMA's, back when we had DMAs. I have followed your chorus with great admiration over the years -- loved every one of your IES performances, from Raggedy Ann on to the Championship year! You were my favorite every time. I know now that Vickie's hand was strong in your performances -- the great staging & characterization! I loved her classes at IES -- the games, the techniques (always/only). Recently, she taught in my Region. I was so lucky to get to work with Vickie, if even just a short time. I will keep you all in my heart & prayers. |

| Joanne Scott Harmony Shores Chorus | To say that Vickie touched all of us - just doesn't seem to be enough.... I met Vickie, during my first summer sing-sation, where she presented Mandy Patinkin singing And the Band Played On. I was awed, moved to tears -- as she challenged us -- as you so aptly say, to find the story within ourselves, and to show that story as we sing. Her lessons, her enormous talent, and her "Wonder"ous spirit will live on through all of us that knew her, sang with her, and learned from her. With enormous grief, I send love and healing light to Kim and all of her family--and to the Sweet Adeline family to whom she gave so much. |
| Tammy Stuck Song of Atlanta | Words can not express the deep sympathy I feel for the Foltz family, Kim and the MNC chorus sisters, the regional and international community and the deep sense of loss we all feel. I can only say that I feel blessed for having known Vickie and am so thankful for all of the light she brought into the world. One of my last memories of Vickie was telling jokes with her backstage at last spring's regional quartet contest. She was a great source of reality and friendship in and throughout the organization of Sweet Adelines International. I can't speak for everyone at Song of Atlanta, but I can tell you that this sad news broke our hearts and that we emit all the love we can muster to all of you. May God embrace you all in his gentle care and comfort you with peace neverending. God bless and deepest sympathy, |
| "Raggedy" Carolyn Benkowitz Song of Atlanta | I cannot come up with words adequate to express my feelings about Vickie's sudden passing. I was so looking forward to sharing a room with her in Hawaii and getting to know her better. She has always been so kind and encouraging to me and, along with my other MNC "raggedy" pals, was instrumental in my decision to stay in this organization at a time when I was unsure. Did I tell her how grateful I was for her friendship? Did I tell her how much I appreciated her kindness? Probably not often enough but I hope she knew how I felt. I will miss her and know that she will be missed by her MNC sisters and her family as well as the Sweet Adeline family that she cared so much about. I'm sure she's busy putting together some kind of show up above...My love to Kim, Lee, Dick, the rest of the Wonders and Foltz families and my sisters in harmony at MNC. May you remember her smile and her laughter and all the wonderful times you had with her. |
| Portia Little Harmony Hills Birmingham, AL | On behalf of the members of Harmony Hills Chorus, I have been asked to express our deepest sympathy and love to the Wonders, Foltz and Metro Nashville families. How sad we were to hear of Vickie's death! She shared so much of herself with each of us on a personal, regional and International level. Her genuine zeal for teaching, creating and performing was a true inspiration to everyone! May all of us continue to honor her memory through the harmony we share among ourselves and the joy of music that we share with others ...... coming as Vicki would say - from the heart! |
| Georgette Gray Jersey Sound Chorus Region 19 | Our hearts go out to Vickie's family and our MNC sisters. We were fortunate to have Vickie coach us for 3 days at our recent Flash meeting in September. What a talented lady she was and so full of life. It is a memory we will not soon forget. Blessings to all who knew and loved her for we know she will be greatly missed. In Harmony, |
| Bev | It seems like yesterday that Vickie and I had a conversation about coaching our prospective Bayou Blend in Lafayette, La. (R#10) and reminisced about our 20 plus years recalling participating in the Memphis Show as a MIME..doing our quartet's chorey by VCR because she was pregnant and couldn't come. I don't have a sister but I always felt her warmth and engaging spirit and feel the pain the family must endure at this time. God's blessings will somehow help us all understand HIS need for this talented, vibrant and loving "angel". Our heartfelt prayers to Kim, the chorus and the entire family. She IS the SPIRIT OF SWEET ADELINES. In loving memory Bev. |
