Metro Nashville Chorus

At MNC, singers of all ages and backgrounds come together in friendship and song; we'd love to meet you!

Metro Nashville Chorus was chartered as a Sweet Adelines International chorus in 1971 and has performed and promoted 4-part barbershop harmony in middle Tennessee for more than 50 years.

We are blessed to be under the direction of Master Director Kim Wonders. There are over 16,000 women and people of other marginalized genders involved in Sweet Adelines, and more than 600 choruses around the world. Every chorus, like every family, is special in its own way.

Our chorus is made up of members who are committed to each other and the music we create together. A coach once told us we “sing like we’re holding hands” - with a connection that the audience can feel - and we try to live up to that with every song. We love to rehearse, we love to compete, we love to perform…and we’d love you to join us!

Our Mission

Metro Nashville Chorus of Sweet Adelines International is a singing organization for women and people of other marginalized genders which promotes barbershop harmony, strives for musical excellence through education and performance, and provides its members with opportunities for personal growth.

MNC embraces and works to embody Sweet Adelines International's guiding principle:

We celebrate our differences as essential to the rich harmony that unites us. As we recognize barbershop’s African American origins and learn from our exclusionary past toward women of color, we reject discrimination and unwaveringly strive toward greater awareness, openness, and understanding of each other.
